We welcome anyone who would like to become a Waves 4 Women Ambassador. This includes a variety of roles that will help Waves 4 women reach more women and help promote psychological and physical wellness in the women we serve!

Off the Beach

Fundraising: As a fundraising ambassador you would help identify individual or corporate donors, assist with grant writing and plan fundraising event

Marketing: As a marketing ambassador you would help spread the word about Waves 4 Women via all social media platforms, as well as networking events

Networking: As a networking ambassador you would help connect with other nonprofits/organizations that share Waves 4 Women’s mission to enhance participant recruitment, referrals and collaboration. Additionally, help recruit and interview potential board members

Social Media: As a social media ambassador you would help manage the facebook page and website, as well as post wellness articles and any upcoming events

Quality improvement: As a quality improvement ambassador you would help with administration of assessments and data collection measures and assist with program evaluation forms to obtain participant feedback

Data technician: As a data technician ambassador you would help create waivers, intake forms and assessment tools as well as create and manage a database to track participants, donors and volunteers

Social: As a social ambassador you would help with sending newsletters to participants and volunteers as well as respond to potential participants via email and phone

On the beach

Our clinics typically run from 7:45-10:15am every Saturday during the summer months

Registration and Data Collection: You would ensure that participants complete liability and photo waivers as well as research assessments

Equipment: You would help carry surf boards with leashes down to the beach and hand out rash guards

Water Support: You would help observe participants who are working in the water with instructors, to provide additional safety and verbal support/positive encouragement, as well as those participants in the shallow water learning new skills

Wellness Coach: You would assist a licensed therapist or wellness director during post surf group debrief to help participants reflect upon their surf experience, identify insights and apply this information to their daily lives. Volunteers for this position should have a strong background in communication and interpersonal skills
